OUTREACH
“I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.”
— St. Matthew 25:35-36

At Christ Church, we believe that we are called to follow Jesus by caring for those in need. Through outreach programs our faith takes action and we grow closer to God by loving those who are also loved by Him. Our care for others is also a way to share the Good News with them, showing them that they are deeply
loved by God. Christ Church sponsors a number of direct service projects, works together with other local agencies and churches on others, and raises funds for even more projects. We have a special calling to serve those in our village and its surrounding areas. Some projects, though, benefit good work being done far away, especially in the Dominican Republic, where we have built strong relationships with our fellow Episcopalians through over twenty service and fellowship trips.

Below is a list of our outreach ministries; if you would like to explore serving Christ Church in this way, please contact the church office at 607.547.9555, or Ashley Cooper (607.547.8975).

Dominican Republic Missions Trip: yearly week-long trip to the D.R., building relationships, living alongside the people and sharing the Gospel.

Domestic Missions Trip: shorter trips to serve those in need and broaden our understanding of Christian service
